ADC Ramban chairs Sub-Division Level Forest Rights Act committee meet
RAMBAN, OCTOBER 12: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Harbans Lal Sharma- the chairman of Sub-Division Level, Forest Rights Act Committee today chaired the committee meeting to review the progress made in providing rights to scheduled tribes and other eligible forest dwellers.
The nominated members of the committee including BDC, Chairperson, Batote, Rajeshwar Kumar, Sarpanch, Parnote, Kailash Devi, BDO Ramban, Range Officers of Gandhari, Batote and Ramban attended the meeting.
After taking stock of progress on finalization of cases at Forest Right Committee level, the ADC directed all 49 FRCs of the Sub-division Ramban to finalize the cases at their level and submit the same to Sub-Division Level, Forest Right Act Committee for verification and further submission to District Level, Forest Rights Act Committee for approval and grant of forest rights to the eligible beneficiaries.
The ADC also conveyed the direction to SDMs of Gool, Banihal and Ramsu earlier issued by the Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, who is also the chairperson of the District Level Committee to expedite the process to clear the claims of deserving people to grant forest rights to them.
