Clear snow clogged roads in Karnah-Tangdhar: Khalid Bhadana urges Administration

Clear snow clogged roads in Karnah-Tangdhar: Khalid Bhadana urges Administration

‘Ensure adequate ration supplies in the remote areas’

Srinagar, Jan 27 ( RNA) : Apni Party ST Wing General Secretary Khalid Bhadana on Thursday urged the administration to take ample measures for the clearance of snow accumulated at the Karnah-Tangdhar road in order to facilitate smooth traffic movement.

In a statement issued here, Bhadana said the people living in Karnah-Tangdhar areas have always faced the brunt of the inclement weather conditions whereas the government continues to remain impervious to their persistent sufferings.

“The road connectivity in Karnah and Tangdhar areas remains cutoff due to the snow clearance works that are being carried out at a snail’s pace. The common people are unable to travel and buy essential commodities. Even the patients locked inside their homes are waiting in anticipation for the reopening of the roads,” he said.

Bhadana demanded that the administration must dispatch further men and machinery to ramp up the ongoing clearance work so that further inconvenience to the people is promptly averted.

Besides, he emphasized that authorities must ensure the people living in this subregion have access to the essential supplies and there exists no shortage of medicines.

“I am hopeful that the government will take all the requisite steps to connect Karnah-Tangdhar to the rest of the valley at an earliest besides ensuring that ration supplies are made available to every household in view of the harsh weather conditions,” he said.
