ADC B'la Chairs DLC Meet, Discusses Change of Land Use Process


Baramulla, May 21 (RNA) : In order to take a review of the process of Change of Land Use (CLU)  in the district, the District Level Committee (DLC) today met under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Zahoor Ahmad Raina here at DC Office meeting Hall. The meeting was attended by  Assistant Commissioner Revenue Baramulla Mumtaz Ahmad Peer , members of District Level Committee including Public Works (R&B), Irrigation and Flood Control,  PWD, Agriculture, besides other concerned officers of the district.  On the occasion, a threadbare discussion was held with regard to the process of change in land use from agricultural to non-agricultural activities in the district. While taking a comprehensive review, Additional Deputy Commissioner enquired about the status of NOCs being issued in favour of applicants and applications received till date besides their reporting and follow up status by the concerned departments. The Chair was informed that a total of 37 applications through on-line mode were received till date in which several cases stands approved in favor of the applicants, while as maximum cases are under process for want of NOCs from the concerned line departments.  On the occasion, the ADC directed the concerned line departments to ensure timely issuance of NOCs to the applicants after proper verification of documents and rules under land conversion. She said through the change of land use application, the applicants shall get NOCs on a fast-track basis and it would ensure prompt public services delivery from the government offices. Moreover, all the officers of concerned departments were asked to follow the detailed guidelines issued by the Government as per the latest provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Land Revenue Act, in letter and spirit.
