Apni Party holds workers meet at Kokernag constituency

We will safeguard the interests of the people: Abdul Rahim Rather

Srinagar June 22 (RNA) : Apni Party District President, Anantnag, Abdul Rahim Rather along with Choudhary Abdul Hamid, Chairman BDC Chittergul, on Wednesday, visited Narsar and Chittergul Shangus areas of Kokernag constituency wherein they held a party workers meeting. Party’s District President (youth wing), Anis-ul-Islam also joined the meeting. On this occasion, the party workers appreciated the developmental work that has been done by Choudhary Abdul Hamid as BDC chairman. They said people of the area are happy with the tremendous work that has been executed here through BDC. In the meeting, various public issues were identified, and it was decided that these issues would be brought to the notice of the concerned officials so that they are resolved as soon as possible. Speaking in the meeting, Rather said that the traditional political parties, who have ruled Jammu Kashmir over the years, have not been fair to the people, in terms of delivering their duties. He said, “Had the political parties, who ruled the state for over the past 70 years, been honest and sincere, we would not have been facing the situations that we are in right now.” He said that the formation of the Apni Party was imperative as the people felt deceived by the leaders of the traditional parties. “Apni Party is committed to ensuring the interests of the people are protected. The issues like job reservations for the J&K youth and protection of land from its sale to outsiders are some of the prime goals of the party.” Rather said. He impressed upon the workers to reach out to the people and make them aware of the facts so that they don’t fall prey to the deceptive and trickery slogans and narratives of the traditional political parties anymore. Choudhary Abdul Hamid and Anis-ul-Islam also spoke at the occasion.
