Block Diwas: DDC Rajouri chairs camp at Pind Narian


RAJOURI, JULY 06 (RNA) : District Administration Rajouri today organised a public grievances redressal camp as a part of weekly block diwas at Pind Narian of block Doongi. The event was presided over by District Development Commissioner, Vikas Kundal. Among others, ADDC, Pawan Kumar; BDC Doongi, Raiz Chowdhary; PO ICDS, Kartar Singh; ACD, Vijay Kumar; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; DSHO, Dr Sarfraz Naseem Chowdhary; CEO Education, Shailash Kumari; CAO, Sohan Singh; LDM, Jyoti Prakash; Dy CMO, Dr Anees Altaf Nabi; DSWO, Wakeel Ahmed Bhatt and other district and sectoral officers attended the event. At the Block Diwas, the public and its representatives apprised the DDC about a number of issues and demands of their areas including those pertaining to macadamisation of roads, health services, upgradation of schools, paucity of staff and others. Specific issues included completion of work on the road from Narian to Kotera; inclusion of eligible beneficiaries under PMAY-R, sanctioning of a veterinary centre at panchayat Narian, upgradation of schools, scarcity of water, implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission etc. Other issues included non functional lift irrigation scheme at Zindapir, sanctioning of a bank branch at Narian, completion of work on dug-well at Kotewal, augmentation of power supply and upgradation of Middle School Pind Narian. Besides, sanctioning of Medical Sub-Centre at Mehra; trauma hospital, completion of remaining work on the road from Chakli to Dogani, repair of defunct handpumps, dilapidated condition of road at Naryala, shortage of staff at PHC Naryala, lack of ambulance also found mention. Addressing the event, the DDC said that the District Administration is striving hard to take the district towards development by utilising its potential in different sectors and all possible measures are being taken to provide services at the doorsteps of the public. Concrete measures are being taken to make government services more transparent and easily accessible to the public, he added. The DDC urged the PRIs to play a crucial role in the development of their areas and ensure that all the developmental works being executed in their respective jurisdictions are completed within the set times while adhering to quality parameters. Referring to scores of self employment generation schemes being implemented under mission youth and others, the DDC urged the youth to avail them. Responding to the issue of scarcity of water in the area, the DDC assured that necessary steps would be taken in this regard. He also informed that a six bedded PHC would be soon set up at Bagla.
