Expresses surprise over " disturbing Power Scenerio" in Valley

Srinagar, 26 Apr (RNA) : Urging LG administration to stop playing mind games with people, former minister Syed Basharat Bukhari Friday expressed his dismay over the power scenario in Valley. In a statement , Mr. Bukhari said that it was surprising to notice that instead of improving the power supply, the PDD department has failed to even maintain the existing norm. He said , adding salt to wounds, the PDD department has come up with inflated bills to put consumers into more inconvenience. He said , instead of sticking to the power curtailment schedule, the PDD has increased the power terrif this making it more astonishing. According to the former minister, the analogy of the increase in power tariff was akin to more less power supply and more increase in power tariff.
He urged the government to reconsider the increase in tariff and also address the owner outage issues.
