Police arrested 2 drug peddlers in Baramulla; Psychotropic substances recovered

Srinagar, April 26 (RNA): Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered psychotropic substances from their possession.
A police party of Police Post Wagoora headed by IC PP Wagoora at a checkpoint established at Wagila Wagoora, intercepted one person. During search, 100 capsules of Spasmoproxyvon Plus psychotropic substances was recovered from his possession. He was later identified as Javid Ahmad Dar @ Sahab Dar son of Gh Nabi Dar resident of Wagoora Baramulla. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Kreeri were he remained in custody.
Similarly, police party of Police Post Palhallan headed by IC PP Palhallan at a checkpoint established at Misra Gali Palhallan, intercepted one person. During search, 7 syrups of Codiene Phosphate physchotropic substances was recovered from his possession. He was later identified as Irfan Maqbool Ganie son of Mohammad Maqbool resident of Ganiepora Buran Pattan. He has been arrested and shifted to PS Pattan were he remained in custody. The vehicle which was used stands seized in the instant case.
Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at police Station Kreeri & Pattan and investigations have been initiated.
