Budgam Police arrested two drug peddlers; Psychotrophic substance recovered

BUDGAM: 16th August 2021(RNA): During naka checking at Dafpora Nasrullahpora Budgam, police party of Police Station Budgam intercepted one Scooty bearing registration number *JK01H-0789* with 02 persons onboard.They tried to flee from the spot but the police party tactfully apprehended both the riders. During their personnel search, *55 bottles of codeine phosphate based syrup* were recovered from them.The arrested persons have been identified as *01.Javiad Ahmad Dar ( 26) S/O Abdul Rahman Dar R/O Nasrullahpora Budgam 02.Ijaz Ahmad Khan (20) S/O Mohd Amin Khan R/O Dafpora Nasrullahpora Budgam*
Case FIR number *256/2021* under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation taken up.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
