Police arrests 2 drug peddlers in Baramulla; Contraband substances recovered

Srinagar, April 03 (RNA) Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police has arrested 2 drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession. A police party of Police Station Kunzer headed by SHO PS Kunzer at a checkpoint established at Nangerpora Kunzer, intercepted two persons. During search, 33 grams of contraband Charas like substances was recovered from their possession. They were later identified as Waseem Ahmad Parray son of Mohd Akbar & Gh Mohd Dar son of Mohd Maqbool both residents of Yall Pattan. They have been arrested and shifted to PS Kunzer were they remained in custody. Accordingly, case under relevant sections of law have been registered at police Station Kunzer and investigations have been initiated. We urge the common masses that if you witness drug peddling or any other crime anywhere near you, feel free to contact nearest police establishment or dial 112.
