Sopore Gears Up for Democratic Participation: ADC, Sopore Flags off Tonga Rally
Sopore, May 8 (RNA) : Today, the town of Sopore witnessed an energetic display of democratic fervor as the Tonga Rally, organized under the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), was flagged off by Additional Deputy Commissioner Shabir Ahmad Raina. The rally aimed to raise awareness about the importance of voting and encourage eligible citizens to exercise their franchise in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
Stretching from the railway crossing to Seer crossing and culminating at Bye pass, the Tonga Rally saw enthusiastic participation from both organizers and attendees. Tongas adorned with banners carrying messages emphasizing the significance of voting paraded through the town, capturing the attention of onlookers and passersby.
