Two persons in Ponch declared positive, shifted to GMC, called back

Will repeat tests to clear confusion: Deputy Commissioner

Srinagar, May 18, ( RNA) : In a bizarre instance of apparent ‘ mismanagement and ‘confusion ’, two persons with reportedly negative reports have been declared Covid positive only to be called back half way while being shifted to GMC in Ponch district of Jammu division. The reported ‘mishandling ‘of the issue by the health authorities has resulted in the confusion and chaos among the families of the two persons. Sources told RNA that two persons in Ponch district including a nursing orderly of the health department were packed in an ambulance this afternoon and transported to GMC Rajouri after being told by health authorities that they were tested positive and need to be shifted to the health facility for treatment. However, in a twist to the tail, both were later found to be negative prompting authorities to call the driver of the ambulance to hang on mid way.
According to sources both the persons one belonging to Surankot and the other Hari Budha along with driver are stuck mid way with authorities yet to clear their own confusion.
Deputy Commissioner Ponch Rahul Yadu told RNA that there was a ‘mis-communication’ as there were two more with same name and parentage. He however, said that the test will be repeated  and till then they will be put in isolation. RNA
