Local Court Convicts bus Conductor for murdering passenger in Sopore

Sopore, July 22 ( RNA): A local court has convicted a bus conductor for killing a passanger more than a decade back in Sopore in North Kashmir. The judgment was pronounced by Additional District Sessions Judge Sopopre on Wednesday . According to RNA , the court found accused Nazir Ahmad Parra involved in the killing of Arbaz Ahmad Khan Baba Shukur Din (RA) junction near Watlab back in 2009 when he boarded a bus and was asked by Parra, who was conductor of the bus to move to the roof top which Arbaz refused. According to the judgement , a copy of which lies with RNA, Arbaz was hit by Parra by an iron rod on his chest leaving him seriously injured and later scumbed at SKIMS .
The court convicted him under Section 304 (1) RPC which warrants a jail term of ten years upto life imprisonement.
The State was represnted by Public Prosecutor Sopore Sheikh Mushraf Ahmad. Meanwhile the quantum of judgment would be pronounced on 25th July. Two other accused have been acquited from the charges .
