Avoid presenting discrimnated and biased literature to future generations: Basharat Bukhari to Writers

Adresses function of AMK virtually

*Baramulla, Dec. 26 ( RNA):* Urging writers to avoid presenting literature to future generations with discrimination, and project the present to future generations without their personal liking and dislikings former Minster and world acknowledged broadcaster and journalist Syed Basharat Bukhari Saturday said that writers, poets and critics have a crucial and huge responsibility to carry forward the present to the future generations in an unbiased and impartial way, so that they get to know about the past generations more transparently .

Adressing telephonically to the inauguration ceremony of the Adbe Markaz Kamraz office at Delina, Baramulla, Mr. Bukhari- who is also brother of the former Markaz Chairman and the main architect of the office late Dr Shujat Bukhari- said, that it was so delightful to see Markaz finally getting its own office , but added, that it has at the same time , brought more responsibility on the shoulders of not only to its office bearers but also to writers, authors and poets associated with it. While Underlining the significance of Adab e Markaz Kamraz, Mr. Bukhari said that the platform has nourished and flourished the intellect talent all over and has been instrumental in digging out some of the best talents from various parts of the valley and beyond.
He recalled the days of his early youth when Markaz was established and it's three day conference was held in his home town Kreeri and added that such conferences provided platform for many youth to explore their talent who have successfully established themselves as reliable authors and poets and could be even seen presiding over and organising the same conferences.
" I still remember when the three day conference was held at Kreeri which was attended by famous writers and authors including my grandfather Prof. Nazki, Prof. Hajni and others . Those days, we had no hotel facility and the guests were so gracious to provide us and many other families the opertunity to host them for those three days. Even my father - Prof. Syed Rafi-ud- Din Bukhari- had also presided over a session. That event and many more after that in early days of its establishment have not only helped literature flourish in Kreeri and other adjacent areas , but have also perculated into younger generations of my age group, youth in the age group elder to me and younger ones like that of Shujat's age and many others who were so enthused and thrilled to have gotten a platform to give vent to their talent and eventually ended up in carrying it forward and making the forum one of the best platforms to explore talent .
Now it is the responsibility of others to carry it forward to the future generations without taking into consideration their personal likes and dislikes . They ought to project our present to our coming generations in such a form that they know us exactly what we are , even when we probably won't be around.I would urge Markaz to not only promote talent without discrimination but also document the contributions people make in literature for the future generations." the celebrity broadcaster turned politician told the gathering . He also urged Markaz to encourage young writers and authors and provide them platform without personal likings and dislikings so that best talent comes to fore. He also apreciated the efforts peoole have put- in, in establishing the office and thanked them including the Deputy Commissioner Baramulla for contributing to the noble cause . *RNA*
