RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 30: District Administration, Ramban has resumed weekly Block Diwas public outreach programme to listen to the grievances of public besides gearing up the developmental activities across the district.
 
A camp was today chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Mussarat Islam.
 
The camps were held amid strict adherence to the Covid protocols and attended by Chairperson BDC, Ramban, Amjad Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Lal Sharma, ACD, Zameer Rishu, ALC, Angrej Singh, BDO Ramban Vishal Atri and various senior officers from district administration besides PRIs and general public.
 
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the main aim of conducting Block Diwas is to improve service delivery and redress the public grievances on the spot.
 
 The DC also exhorted upon PRIs to closely monitor the developmental works being executed in their respective areas to ensure quality and timely completion.
 
He informed that the issue of clearance of road projects has already been taken up with the Forest Department and Rs 14.25 crore has been released to execute sanctioned works under Back to Village-III.
 
He also informed the participants about the status of the tendering process of development works sanctioned under Area Development Funds of DDC, BDC and Panchayats, besides JJM, PMGSY and other sectors.
 
Responding to the issue of Back to Village phase-I and II works, the ACD informed that Rs 1.87 crore has been demanded to clear the pendency.
 
Meanwhile, ALC also informed the PRIs about the process of issuing and renewing Labour cards. He urged them to educate people about the benefits of E-Shram and PM-SYM schemes.    
 
Earlier, Sarpanchs and Panches raised many developmental issues including start of work on TV tower to Gagwal and Seri- Sencha road, installation of straight lights, completion of electrification work in some area Dhundrath, opening of AWAS-PLUS portal, start of construction work on Veterinary Hospital and water tank at Chanderkote and sought early redressal of the same.
 
During the public hearing many grievances were resolved on the spot and rest were forwarded to the concerned departments for prompt redressal.
