ACP conducts plastic waste collection Campaign at Palmar, resolves long pending dispute of Panchayat Ghar lower Palmar B
 
KISHTWAR OCTOBER 05: The Day 5 of Swachhta Pakhwara was marked by varied activities across district Kishtwar.
 
District as well as local administrations across the district conducted multifarious activities under the overall supervision of Deputy Commissioner Ashok Sharma.
 
A cleanliness drive, under the aegis of "Azadi Ka Amrut Mohatsav", was conducted here at block Palmar under the close supervision of Assistant Commissioner Panchayat (ACP) Zakir Hussain in presence of BDC chairperson Palmar Lalita Devi; DDC member Dool-Palmar Tahir Masood, and BDO Palmar Saima Ramzan. Locals and PRI members collected the plastic waste in and around the Block office Palmar and other offices and disposed of properly .
 
Besides this the locals were also made aware about the clean India Campaign. Later, ACP along with BDC chairperson, DDC member and PRIs visited the Panchayat Ghar lower Palmar B and amicably resolved the long pending issue of the Construction of abundant work there.
 
Meanwhile, similar cleanliness activities were also conducted by all the Departments in their office premises.
 
The Municipal Council conducted the cleanliness and sensitisation drive at various places of Kishtwar township and educated the passers-by about the importance of maintaining cleanliness near the residential areas and also taught them about the proper way of disposing of the household wastes.
 
The District Hospital, under the guidance of Medical Superintendent Dr Parveez Iqbal Wani, conducted a cleanliness and sanitation drive in the hospital premises with the active participation of all the staff members.
 
At High School Poochal students were taught about proper hand washing . while at HS Cherhar and GMS Wasser Palmar, a cleanliness and plastic waste collection drive was conducted by the school management.
 
A cleanliness drive for Water bodies was also launched by the District Youth Services and Sports Department at various Springs and natural water bodies of the Binoon area of block Bounjwah.
