Mental Health Day Observed at District Jail Bhaderwah

 

DODA, OCTOBER 11: On Mental Health Day “10th October 2021” awareness programme on Mental Health was conducted for Jail inmates at District Jail Bhaderwah.

 

A team deputed by Block Medical Officer Bhaderwah Comprising Dr.Sheena, Block Coordinator Muhammad Sultan and Pharmacist Abrar Ahmad provided awareness to inmates on mental health issues, ways to prevent and treat such issues, besides ways of promoting mental wellbeing.

 

Superintendent Jail Mushtaq Ahmad Malla and Assistant Superintendent Jail, Anayat-Ullah also highlighted healthy behavior for treatment and prevention/promotion of mental health and insisted on inmates to inculcate healthy behavior in their daily life. Some inmates also shared their knowledge and journey in jail to promote the healthy atmosphere for preventing mental health issues and promoting mental wellbeing among inmates in the jail .The jail is soon starting yoga classes and inmates have been engaged in morning exercises, sports and other recreational activities for physical and mental wellbeing.
