First SSM Snooker Championship, 2020 concludes in Leh

Let, Jan 02 ( RNA): The first Sonam Skalzang memorial Snooker Championships-2020 was concluded today at The Billiards Club Leh and DC/CEO, LAHDC, Leh Sachin Kumar Vaishya was the chief guest and ASP, Leh Suresh Kumar Chib was the guest of honour, on the occasion.
Dy. SP Hqt Kacho Ishtiyaq Ahmed, Distt, Youth Services & Sport Officer, Leh Tsering Tashi, Players, and numbers of audiences were also present.
The championship was organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports in collaboration with the Billiards Club Leh.
Addressing the gathering DC Leh congratulated the winning and Runner's up team. He appreciated the initiative and efforts of DYS&S Department and Billiards Club Leh in organizing the first Sonam Skalzang memorial Snooker Championship in Leh.
DC said that in Ladakh a numbers of games was organized in winter including Ice-hockey, Archery, and Billiards which facilitate youth in keeping engaged and help them in overall development as an individual or the society as whole.
He stressed on the need to give more attention to promote sports in Ladakh to have greater participation at national level as well as International level. He further assured to provide full support from administration in every field and advice to organizing more and more games in future. RNA
