All party meeting releases "Gupkar Declaration"

Srinagar, Aug 04 (RNA): The various political parties of the Jammu and Kashmir have said that any attempts of abrogation of Article 370 or 35-A will be fought against. Adressing a joint Press conference, National Conference President and Parliament member Dr. Farooq Abdullah read out a joint declaration which he called as "Gupkar Declaration" said that the current situation in Kashmir was "unprecedented" and said modification or abrogation of special status including Article 35-A, 370, Unconstitutional delimitation or trifurcation of the state
would be an agression against the people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh . According to RNA, the joint declaration appealed for an audience by President and Prime Minister of India. They also urged leaders of other political parties to aprise president and PM with regard to the current situation of Kashmir and apeal them to safeguard the "legitimate Interests" of the people of the state with regard to the constitutional gurentees which have been given to them under the constitution of this country."
According to RNA, Dr. Farooq Abdullah also appealed for peace and said the people should have patience and maintain peace. (RNA)
