DIG CKR Srinagar visits Budgam and reviews preparedness for Parliamentary elections 2024 and the overall Security & Law and order Scenario.

Budgam 19 April 2024 (RNA): Deputy inspector general of Police CKR Srinagar Shri *Rajiv Omprakash Pande- IPS* today visited District Police Office, Budgam and chaired a review meeting regarding the preparedness for Parliamentary elections 2024 and the overall Security & Law and order Scenario.
The meeting was attended by SSP budgam Shri Al Tahir Gilani -JKPS, Addl.SP Budgam Shri Ragav S-IPS* and all the GOs were present.
SSP budgam *Shri Al Tahir Gilani -JKPS provided a detailed overview of the preparation done by District Police Budgam including the deployment plans for the ensuing elections, the area domination plan and the disruptive mechansim devised to thwart any possible threat to public tranquility.
DIG CKR Shri Rajiv Omprakash Pande- IPS stressed the importance of establishing a robust Security grid with special attention to minority pickets and non-local clusters in close coordination with sister agencies and Army thereby ensuring the prevention of any ANEs to disturb the upcoming Parliamentary elections.
He further stressed upon the need for Strict adherence to Standard operating Procedure (SOP’s)during the movement of Security Personnel across the district.
The meeting concluded with a resolve to ensure a free and fair electoral process enabling every one to exercise their franchise without any fear.
