Respond to New Delhi's atrocities through voting: Mehbooba Mufti in Tral

Srinagar, May 7 (RNA): The Peoples Democratic Party organized a massive roadshow in different areas of Tral constituency in Pulwama district on Tuesday. The roadshow was led by party president Mehbooba Mufti herself in favor of PDP youth president and parliamentary candidate for Srinagar-Pulwama Parliament Constituency, Waheed Ur Rehman Parra. During the roadshow, Mufti addressed massive public meetings in several areas of Tral constituency.

Addressing the public gathering, Mufti acknowledged the profound pain and suffering experienced by the people, pledging to advocate for them and amplify their voices. She campaigned in favor of party youth president Waheed Parra, who is contesting Lok Sabha elections from the Srinagar Parliamentary seat.

She said that for years, Tral has been painted with a broad brush of suspicion and has been labeled wrongly for years. "Our children studying in other parts become targets because of their identity, because of where they belong. We sell our land and send our children to get a good education, and they end up being targeted.

She thanked the people of Tral who joined the roadshow by traveling long distances and thanked them for their love and rousing reception and unwavering support. The people of Tral remember with gratitude all the good work that Mufti Sahab has done for them. "They have always supported PDP even in the toughest and unprecedented times," she said. "When there was tense violence here, they know PDP was the only party that rescued them from Ikhwan, POTA, task force, and army."

Mufti asserted that, PDP has played a vital role in the development and prosperity of Tral from establishing AIIMS, IUST, ADC office to constructing an indoor stadium. "They have always supported PDP and will support the party in the future as well."

Addressing the media, Mufti said, "We have been restricted by the authorities from visiting many areas without any valid reason. We were supposed to travel to Nagabal, Naristan and other areas, and address the public, but were not allowed, and restrictions were imposed on our political activities without any reason." She urged people to respond to New Delhi's atrocities through voting for its actions in J&K post-2019.
